Death of the Private — Public Space

Indy Johar in a thought provoking post. This is the space where social value is going to be created.

The time may have arrived where the prevalent and indoctrinated polarising model of state as the actor for public goods and the corporate as the actor of private interests may have outlived its systemic usefulness in a complex and emergent world.

In a world of recognisable and materially attributable interdependency — public good may now need to be recognised as a product of massive multi-stakeholder mesh/system of actors — and no longer the privilege and responsibility of the few but the many. In this world view Public good cannot be the sole responsibility of the government in power nor can corporate actors ignore their responsibility towards public good if they are to preserve their Sustainabilty.
